NTUC Phl Message on the occasion of the
OATH-TAKING of TEC TIPC Representatives
21 Jan 2019

Thank you po, Secretary Bello,
for maintaining this oasis of tripartism
in a creeping desert of real social dialogue.

Wala pong grupo na merong monopoly ng good sense for the good of the nation.

********

by law and by practice,
para sa tunay na social dialogue among government, employers and labor.

Sikat tayo sa daigdig.
Sikat tayo among unions all over the world.
Modelo tayo sa ganito. Hinahangaan, ginagaya.

Mula SSS; GSIS; PagIBIG; NLRC, POEA, OWWA, National Statistics and C Board;
Philippine Women’s Commission; at iba pa;

for ensuring that sectoral interests are balanced
with the wider country and society interest.

Daming kelangang pagaralan, pagisipan, analyze, push, advocate, insist on, ipaglaban.
Meron tayong sectoral loyalties na kelangang i-balance with country interest

Dumarami at lumalaki ang mga areas of concern –
climate change, just transition,
violence and harassment in the workplace, inclusive growth,
SDGs, future of work –
mga usaping bago at complex.
Inde malulutas sa isang upuan.
Inde makukuha sa closed discussions with favored groups.

Para bagang walang “complete staff work”.

Thank you po, Secretary Bello,
for maintaining this oasis of tripartism
in a creeping desert of real social dialogue.

Wala pong grupo na merong monopoly ng good sense for the good of the nation.
