Female militant leader shot dead

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A lone gunman killed a female militant leader and wounded one of her colleagues in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna Monday morning, police said.

Police said Sabina Ariola, 51, who chaired the Mama­mayan ng Sta. Rosa Para sa Kagalingan, Kaunlaran, Kapayapaan, Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan ng Bayan, was with at least 40 of her members on board an Isuzu Elf truck en route to City Hall when she was gunned down.
