2 burger chain workers kill supervisor

MANILA, Philippines – A supervisor of a burger chain was stabbed dead Saturday by two workers she suspended for repeatedly reporting to work late in Marikina City.

Angels Burger chain supervisor Jesusa Abo, 48, of Sikatuna Village, Quezon City died while being rushed to the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center in Marikina City.

Police are hunting down suspects Jimboy Mariano and his cousin, Nereboy Calle, both residing at 5th St. Barangay Sto. Nino.

Abo and a companion, Joenald Cacho, were walking along E. Rodriguez Avenue in Barangay Sto. Nino when the two suspects blocked their path. Cacho said the suspects angrily confronted Abo for suspending them.

Abo said they were suspended for repeatedly being late for work. At this juncture, Mariano pulled out a fan knife and stabbed Abo.
