Labor leader’s brother gunned down

BATANGAS CITY, Philippines – A brother of a militant labor leader was shot dead by two men while a 12-year-old boy was hit by a stray bullet in the foot in Calaca town last Thursday night, police said.

Senior Superintendent Jesus Gatchalian, Batangas police director, said the victim, Felipe Bautista, 30, brother of Agaton Bautista, coordinator of Anakpawis-Batangas, was cruising Marasigan street on his motorcycle when he was waylaid.
