A Malaysian information technology firm has launched a new e-commerce solution in the country this month to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in their business processes.

In a statement, Platform2u.com Berhad, said SMILDS.COM is an end-to-end e-commerce platform could assist millions of SMEs by providing e-business platform that covers logistics, payment processing, web tools, customer management systems, back office management systems and fraud and dispute investigations.

The company said those who are unemployed can also have the opportunity to participate in the “e-Commerce” revolution and start their own internet-based businesses through the software system that they have developed.

SMILDS.COM integrates the three parties involved in the entire online businesses chain—the suppliers, retailers and the consumers.

This Business-to-Business, Business-to-Consumer and Consumer-to-Consumer (B2B2C2C) platform allows for a borderless trading while lowering operating cost. This also allows merchants to expand their market globally and supply customers with no additional costs.

This e-Commerce model is built on the business strategy called “Blue Tail Strategy,” which abstracted the core values of both Blue Ocean and Long Tail strategies. Blue Ocean focuses on searching and innovation in the new non-competitive marketplace while Long-Tail is the ability to unlimitedly supply products to new marketplaces through the power of e-Commerce.

On July 4, Platform2u.com Berhad, LBC and DHL Logistic Co. and Pay Easy have signed a memorandum of understanding wherein the two companies would serve as strategic logistics and online payment solution providers, respectively, to Platform2u.com and all its merchants.

“After the rise of Amazon.com, eBay.com, Alibaba.com and Yahoo!, SMILDS.COM will be the next Internet rising star in Asia. It’s a brand-new business and operating model that will completely change the way we do businesses,” Platform2U.com Berhad said. –Manila Times
