MANILA, Philippines – Caloocan City Mayor Enrico Echiverri said the city government will hold a mega job fair on Feb. 5 to celebrate the city’s 48th year.

The mega job fair will be held at the Rizal Plaza in front of the Caloocan City Hall (South) along A. Mabini street.

The event will be followed by another mega job fair on Feb. 24 at the compound of Caloocan City Hall (North) along Zapote Road , Camarin II, Calooocan.

The Labor Industrial Relation Office, the Department of Labor and Employment and the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency teamed up for the job fair, Echiverri said.

The mayor added that several agencies and companies, both foreign and local, are set to join the job fair, so he expects many local residents to get hired.

Thousands of residents have achieved employment through job fairs that have become regular events since he became mayor, Echiverri said. -– Jerry Botial, Philippine Star
