Heard through the grapevine

Published by rudy Date posted on January 8, 2010

The Wack Wack Golf and Country Club was hit by a wildcat strike Wednesday after the entire wait and kitchen staff picketed over the sudden outsourcing of the money-losing food and beverage department to Carte Blanche, which is part of the Skyline Group.

The caddies also joined the picket line, after long-time club president, former Comelec chairman Benjamin Abalos, weighed in favor of the dismissed employees.

The picket was thankfully lifted yesterday, after Carte Blanche promised Wack Wack president Luis K. Tan to re-hire the F&B staff.
