CEBU, Philippines – Trade Union Congress of the Philippines Partylist Rep. Raymond Mendoza yesterday said their concerns are not only the issues related to labor, but also the need to improve the health services to the people in the barangays.

Mendoza made the announcement when he personally met with barangay officials of Subangdaku in Mandaue City and Consolacion town.

When he assumed office last year as representative of TUCP partylist, Mendoza claimed he received a number of requests from local government units for ambulance. This made him decide to pursue the project.

The bringing of patients from the municipalities and barangays to Cebu City is one of the problems encountered by the barangay officials, Mendoza said.

With this, the partylist, through Mendoza has donated ambulances to Subangdaku, Mandaue City and Consolacion town.

Many of the members of ALU-TUCP are now working at the different business and industrial establishments in Mandaue City.

Subangdaku barangay captain Walter Dy thanked Mendoza and the whole TUCP for the ambulance.   (FREEMAN NEWS)
