THE Ejercito family, businessman Enrique Razon Jr., Estrada classmate Antonio Evangelista, a certain Jaime Dy, and gaming friend George Antonio have emerged as the biggest campaign contributors in the Joseph Estrada’s failed reelection bid.
According to the statement of contributions filed with the Commission on Elections by the deposed president, the Ejercitos gave P20 million in cash to his campaign.
Razon, former owner of the Manila Standard but better known as the chairman of the International Container Terminal Services Inc.; Antonio, Dy and Evangelista, who owns Kanlaon Construction, were listed as having contributed P15 million each.
