11 new govt execs to take oath today

MANILA, Philippines—President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III will lead the oath-taking of 11 new government officials in Malacanang on Thursday.

Among those who will take their oath of office before the President are retired general Jose Angel Honrado, incoming general manager of the Manila International Airport Authority, and Rico Puno, the new interior undersecretary for peace and order.

The nine others are the following:

Atty. Jose Amor Amorado, senior deputy executive secretary; Atty. Ericson Alcovendaz, assistant executive secretary for finance and administration and officer in charge of Desfa (deputy executive secretary for finance and administration); Atty. Ronald Geron, assistant executive secretary for legal affairs and OIC of Desla (deputy executive secretary for legal affairs); Atty. Teofilo Pilando Jr., assistant executive secretary for government administration and OIC of Desga (deputy executive secretary for government administration); Atty. Michael Frederick Musngi, undersecretary of the Office of the Executive Secretary; Virgie Torres, assistant secretary of the Land Transportation Office; Ma. Lourdes Ong, presidential assistant 1, Office of the Special Assistant to the President; Susan Reyes, assistant executive secretary of the Social Secretary’s Office; and Eric Gosengfiao, director general of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency. –Maila Ager, INQUIRER.net
