2 laborers die in work mishap

BATANGAS , Philippines  – Two laborers were killed while seven others were injured when a steel scaffolding collapsed at a construction site in San Pablo City, Laguna yesterday morning, police said.

Superintendent Ferdinand de Castro, San Pablo police chief, identified the fatalities as Benny Navarrete and Edgar Vasquez, workers of SLT Construction Co. Hurt in the incident were Alvin Donor, Christian Ecleo, Alvin Anescal, Arnold Obsanga, Richard Vasquez, Salvador Mediado and Jerson Vidal. –Arnell Ozaeta and Ed Amoroso (The Philippine Star)
