DILG opens public assistance center

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has opened its website to the public who can post and even track the status of their complaints.

This was made possible after the DILG launched on Tuesday its Public Assistance Center (PAC) which is aimed at receiving and quickly responding to requests for public assistance and complaints.

“We would like the ordinary Filipinos to feel the Department’s presence and ensure them that we are a listening and working DILG,” DILG Secretary Jesses Robredo said.

The Secretary explained that anyone who would want to avail of the services of the PAC can just walk in at the DILG office in Quezon City or send requests through phone calls, e-mails, and text messages.

Apart from the DILG main office, he cited that similar PAC will also be established in every regional office of the Department.

Supervised by a management committee, the PAC is manned by designated action officers from the bureaus and attached agencies of the DILG who shall receive and act on grievances and other related public concerns.  -JEFFREY DAMICOG, Manila Bulletin
