MANILA, Philippines – An electrician died after getting electrocuted while fixing power lines in the house of his employer in Quezon City yesterday.

Police records show a neighbor doing the laundry beside the house on J.P. Rizal street in Project 4 heard a loud thud. When she went to look, she found Jesus Bautista, 38, unconscious and saw him fall from an iron ladder.

House caretaker Arnold Atienza, with the help of neighbors, took Bautista to the Quirino Memorial Hospital.

Bautista, who sustained severe burns in the body, was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Michael Gatmaitan. –Jerry Botial (The Philippine Star)
