MANILA, Philippines—The government’s key shelter agencies have committed to double production of housing units to narrow the housing gap nationwide, according to Vice President Jejomar C. Binay, who also heads the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).

“All the key housing agencies have pledged to jointly build 370,000 housing units annually which is more than double the current annual production of 150,000 units,” Binay said Monday.
