Minors working as entertainers rescued

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Five minors working as entertainers in videoke bars in Olongapo City and Zambales were rescued by policemen and personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) over the weekend.

Three of the minors were working at Darcy Videoke Bar located at Brill street, Barangay West Bajac-Bajac, while the others were working as receptionists at the Resto Bar along the National Highway in Barangay West Derita, San Antonio, Zambales.

The minors are now in the custody of DSWD in Manila, while the owner of the bar was yet to be located.  –Ric Sapnu (The Philippine Star)
