1 dead in QC store fire

MANILA, Philippines – A stay-in worker died when a fire broke out at a clothing store along Aurora Boulevard in Cubao, Quezon City before dawn yesterday.

Arson investigators said Gina Depidep was trapped in the Denzen RTW store when it caught fire at around 3:03 a.m. Firefighters managed to put out the blaze at around 3:54 a.m.

Investigators are still looking into what started the fire. –Michael Punongbayan, The Philippine Star
