A plumber working for a contractor of a water concessionaire died of electrocution in a freak accident while working on a pipeline project in Pasay City before midnight on Monday.

The plumber reportedly touched a cable while working on a project at Santos Street, Malibay, Pasay, radio dzBB’s Paulo Santos reported.

The dzBB report said the incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. when Cabuyao accidentally touched an electric cable the contractor was using for its generator.

He was rushed to the San Juan de Dios Hospital but it was too late for doctors to save him.

The police are questioning the foreman on why there was no electrician in the team to ensure the workers’ safety, the report said. – VVP, GMA News
