Live wire kills man, injures 10

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – A 40-year-old man died while 10 others were hospitalized after they were electrocuted in a western Cagayan town Saturday morning, reports said.

The fatality was identified as Samuel Soller of Tuao town’s San Vicente village, while those treated for burns were Antonio Abara, Andres Abella, Danilo Ardiles, Pepito Baguiog, Danilo Frances, Frank Ibunia, Mario Pacion, Mario Pinera, Eduardo Tagacay, and Ronald Verson.

According to reports, the victims were installing arches and buntings for the town’s upcoming fiesta when they accidentally got in contact with a live wire. – Charlie Lagasca, Raymund Catindig, The Philippine Star
