CEBU, Philippines – Members of the Associated Labor Unions-Trade Unions Congress of the Philippines and their dependents leaving in Cebu who cannot afford to pursue a college education can now avail of scholarships from the Technical Education and Skills Development (TESDA) through the ALU-TUCP Workers College Foundation, Inc.

TUCP PartyList Rep. Raymond Mendoza recently discussed the matter with TESDA.

For starters, the foundation will assess applicants for training as call center agents as well as masseurs and masseuses on October 26, 27 and 28 at the ALU-TUCP Office Vimcontu Compound, Pier 1, Cebu City.

The assessment of applicants will start at 8 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.

Under TUCP’s expansion program, non-union members will be considered.

These two short-term courses offered by the ALU-TUCP Worker’s College Foundation, Inc. were in demand here and abroad. (FREEMAN)
