Four people died while four others were in critical condition when a nine-meter high wall collapsed in an ongoing construction building in Clark, Pampanga on Friday afternoon.

Senior Supt. Nicanor Targa, safety department chief of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), said the 25-meters wide wall which was being built in the nothern section of the North Heaven Pharmaceutical establishment at the Industrial Estate 5 of the Clark International Airport collapsed on top of the workers who were bulding it.

Investigation showed that the wall fell after a “sudden strong wind” swept throughout the area around 2 p.m.

The fatalities were identified as Enrique Laxamana, Rico Mabaga, Ryan Graduito and Joel Villapando. The victims died when they were pinned by the wall against the ground.

The other four, who are now being treated at the Mt. Carmel Clark Hospital, are Jover Mesa, Rey Galos, Agustin Ganaganag and Rolly Sarmiento. Gina Peralta-Elorde, Daily Tribune
