MANILA, Philippines — Call center and outsourcing services provider TELUS International Philippines (TIP) has signed a new partnership with Asia Pacific College (APC) for the TELUS International University (TIU).

TIP and APC earlier formalized their partnership with a ceremonial memorandum of agreement signing at the TELUS Market! Market!, in Taguig City.

TIP president Jeff Uthoff, APC president Dr. Paulino Tan, and other APC and TIU  officials  attended the event.

Uthoff said TIU is a revolutionary approach to learning and career development that is indicative of the TELUS culture.

“This is another exciting partnership for TIP. Our partnership with APC helps to ensure greater success for the future of our company, as well as our team members. We are very grateful to APC for helping us widen the reach of this unique opportunity,” Uthoff said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Tan said the decision to pursue the partnership was easy.

“As an educational institution, one of our goals is to look out for partnerships that can help us ensure our curriculum is innovative for our students. When TELUS came to us with the proposal, we were interested right away,” Dr. Tan said.

APC selected the faculty members who will conduct classes in TELUS House Araneta and Market! Market!. APC will offer TIU students business management and information technology courses, which are considered by  APC  as two of its best programs.

TIU, meanwhile,  is described as a program that provides an opportunity for team members to earn college degrees in various fields while concurrently working full-time.

TIP offers classes at reduced costs and provides classrooms, library, books, computers and other educational equipment on the company premises for the students to use, making college education more affordable and accessible for its team members. –Tam Noda (philstar.com)
