NPAs torch wood firm’s equipment

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – Suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels attacked a wood processing firm and burned its heavy equipment before fleeing in Barangay Zillovia, Talacogon, Agusan del Sur yesterday morning.

Reports from the Region 13 police said the guerrillas swooped down on the compound of Provident Tree Farms Inc. at around 10 a.m. yesterday.
