Pinoys still prefer ‘Pera Padala’ for remitting cash

The Cebuana Lhuiller Pawnshop’s Pera Padala is still the preferred money remittances service of Filipinos worldwide.

With over 1,400 Cebuana Lhuiller Pawnshop branches nationwide, it offers convenient, fast and reliable money remittance service for Filipinos.

Cebuana’s Pera Padala made life easier for Filipinos as they take steps to international money remittance partners that include MoneyGram, Xoom, New York Bay remittance, ABS-CBN Easy Remit, MyRemit, Trans Fast (worldwide money transmitter) XpressMoney, Iremit, Franki Exchange Co. Cebuana Pera Padala also tied up with Wells Fargo and Uniteller Banorte.

Uniteller Banorte is a US-based company that offers an instant money transfer in countries like Mexico, Latin America and the Philippines. It is also a subsidiary of Grupo Financiero Banorte, which is one of the largest financial groups in Latin America and the third largest in Mexico while Wells Fargo, one of the largest banks in US, is an American multinational diversified financial services company which operates worldwide.

Meanwhile, Cebuana is the first international partner of Wells Fargo to offer real-time postings transactions.

Furthermore, all transactions are real-time, which allows the receiver to claim money right after the transaction is processed in the branch. Electronic transactions guarantee real-time and instant payouts.

Cebuana Lhuiller is also the first to offer membership reward program for clients, the 24k card. Under the program, members can enjoy the exclusive benefits, including discounts on services and cash coupons which they can use to purchase from partner merchants and other special offerings. And while receiving money from the branch, clients can also pay for their utility, school or telecommunication bills or even have their cellphones reloaded.

The country’s largest pawnshop chain at present, Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop started as a four-pawnshop outlet in Metro Manila in the mid-1980s. Today, it has branches all over the Philippines serving the Filipino pawner everywhere.

Cebuana Lhuiller Pawnshop traces its roots in Cebu. From there, French Consul to the Philippines Henry Lhuillier established in 1935 his first of a chain of Agencias. He then opened several more branches in Cebu, as well as in nearby provinces of the Visayas. Aileen Lor, Daily Tribune
