PH-Korea labor pact inked

The Philippine Labor department and the South Korean government signed an agreement that would expand the technical cooperation between them.

Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said the signing would likewise enhance the occupational safety and health system in the Philippines.

Baldoz said the new arrangement with the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency was signed on Aug. 25, 2012, was aimed at extending their cooperation with in enhancing the OSH system in the Philippines “within the framework of its national standards and regulations.” –Vito Barcelo, Manila Standard Today
