‘Reward child labor-free establishments’

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) here will grant special incentives to “child labor-free establishments” in the region, it was announced Monday.

The DOLE said a certificate or marker of recognition will be given to businesses that get the seal as a child labor-free zone.

The grant of incentives aims to promote compliant and socially responsible business practices.

The establishments that will comply with the standards and guidelines set by the government agency will be given endorsement for participation of their employees in the DOLE’s livelihood programs and guaranteed booths in job fairs and exhibits.

They will also be given exposure and promotion on the the agency’s website, www.dole.gov.ph.

DOLE added that those that receive the certificate or marker will be assured of slots for training courses conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
