Man loses leg in Valenzuela factory blast

MANILA, Philippines – A man died while four others were injured in a rubber factory accident in Valenzuela City on Tuesday morning.

A pressurized machine that processes rubber reportedly exploded, instantly killing 36-year-old Bongbong Dandin, according to PO1 Jonathan Bolinao.

Bolinao said Dandin’s leg was severed in the blast. Four other workers of Pilipinas Fire Rubber Corp. in Colon Industrial Subdivision in Barrio Ugong were injured.

Three of the injured victims were Segundo Enrequito, 34; Nedie Espinueva, 25; and Reynaldo Espinosa, 32. – report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
