TUCP preferred group in polls, survey shows

The Trade Union Congress of the Philippines is one of the preferred groups to fill up the 58 partylist seats in the House of Representatives in the May 13 elections, based on the recent survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations, the group said in a press release.

The survey was taken from March 15 to 17, with 1,200 respondents. It was topped by Bayan Muna, 8.68 percent; Gabriela Women’s Party, 5.55 percent, and Akbayan, 3.71 percent. TUCP, the largest labor union in the country, got the nod of 0.92 percent of the respondents, the press release also said.

TUCP first nominee, Negrense Roland de la Cruz, said they are thankful for the trust and support of the Filipinos to the advocacies that the group is fighting for, the press release also said.*
