Vice President Jejomar Binay regained his personal high satisfaction rating while the country’s top officials and institutions saw their ratings improve as well in the second quarter of 2013, pollster Social Weather Stations said Monday.

The SWS said the survey from June 28 to 30 saw 83 percent satisfied and seven percent dissatisfied with Binay’s performance for a net +76, a rating of “excellent.”

This was a 14-point improvement from the “very good” +62 in March, and ties with Binay’s best rating from August 2012.

Earlier, SWS said President Benigno Aquino III’s satisfaction rating for the second quarter was at a “very good” +64, with 76 percent of respondents satisfied with his performance and 12 percent saying otherwise.

Top officials

Other top officials also saw their satisfaction ratings rise in the second quarter, including former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr., and Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno.

Enrile, who resigned as Senate president last June and was replaced by Franklin Drilon at the opening of the 16th Congress last July 22, had a “good” score of +38 (56 percent satisfied, 18 percent dissatisfied).

This was an improvement from the +30 he got in March. SWS said his ratings have ranged from “good” to “very good” since June 2010.

Belmonte’s rating was a “moderate” +16 (36 percent satisfied, 20 percent dissatisfied), a five-point improvement from +11 in March. His ratings has remained “moderate” since August 2012.

Sereno’s score improved to a “moderate” +13 (33 percent satisfied, 20 percent dissatisfied) from a “neutral” +9.

Institutions

Major institutions also saw their satisfaction ratings rise, though the poll was taken before reports of a P10-billion pork barrel scam broke out.

The Senate’s rating improved to a “very good” +54 (66 percent satisfied, 12 percent dissatisfied) from a “good” +45 in March.

Similarly, the House of Representatives’ rating improving to a “good” +37 (51 percent satisfied, 14 percent dissatisfied) from a “moderate” +29 in March.

For its part, the Supreme Court’s rating increased by three points to a “good” +37 (53 percent satisfied, 16 percent dissatisfied).

The Cabinet’s rating rose five points to a “moderate” +28 (46 percent satisfied, 17 percent dissatisfied).
