MANILA – Armed men torched 11 buses in Pagsanjan, Laguna before dawn Monday, police said.

Senior Superintendent Pascual Muñoz Jr., Laguna police director, said some 10 to 15 armed and uniformed men barged into the garage of HM Transport Inc. and told the guards they were conducting an anti-illegal drug raid.

However, the suspects suddenly splashed gasoline onto the buses and set them on fire.

Pascual suspects the the armed men were communist rebels involved in extortion. – report from Noel Alamar, dzMM
