MANILA, Philippines – Online recruitment company JobStreet.com said accountants are the most in-demand specialists for the fourth quarter of 2013.

According to a job outlook survey for employers conducted by JobStreet.com, accounting (16%) topped the list of specializations, followed by sales (15%) and IT software (9%).

Customer service (8%) and marketing (7%) specialists are also in-demand to end the year, survey results showed.

JobStreet.com said the in-demand specialists can look for jobs in business services, trade and retail, computer and IT, manufacturing, construction, education and training, and hotels and restaurants.

Junior level employees, or those with 1 to 4 years of experience, will still be in demand before the year ends with 55 percent of the respondents saying this is the position level they require.

There was also an increase in the requirement for supervisors (20% in the fourth quarter compared to 14% last quarter) and fresh graduates (18% this fourth quarter compared to the 14% last quarter).

JobStreet.com noted that job growth is better in 2013 due to company expansions.

“Candidates who are seeking employment before the year ends should be optimistic, given the higher number of job openings created by company expansions,” the site said. –ABS-CBNnews.com
