MANILA – Responding to the clamor of Yolanda survivors for decent jobs that could help them rebuild their lives, licensed Philippine recruitment agencies have organized a massive job fair in Tacloban on 21-22 January 2014, according to their news release

This job fair follows the recent successful Ormoc joint relief and job fair organized in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment-Philippine Overseas Employment Administration by the May Bukas Pa Foundation.

May Bukas Pa Foundation, organized by the licensed agencies, said that with the participation of more local and international recruitment agencies, the job fair will open 10,000 positions for overseas employers from at least 35 recruitment agencies.

Estrelita Hizon, who represents the recruitment industry in the POEA Governing Board, has launched a campaign to raise P2 million within the industry to buy relief items and food packs for the survivors.

At the same time, recruitment agencies are urged to contribute or join the second relief and job fair mission.
