Laborer dies after fall from 7th floor of QC condominium

MANILA, Philippines—A 41-year-old worker was killed on Tuesday night after he fell from the seventh floor of a condominium in Quezon City that was under construction.

Salvador Magdato, a stay-in laborer at the Neopolitan construction site on Regalado Highway in Novaliches, died due to serious head and body injuries while undergoing treatment at East Avenue Medical Center.

PO2 Alvin Quisumbing of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said the victim was switching off the lights on the seventh floor of the building at 10 p.m. Tuesday when he slipped and fell.

Magdato’s co-worker Allan Estiller immediately took him to the hospital but the victim died after a few hours.
