MANILA – A still unidentified gunman shot and wounded Firday morning a Manila Electric Company (Meralco) lineman who was cutting illegal connections from the top of an electric post at the corner of 13th Street and Roberto Oca Street in Port Area, Manila.

Jobylen Salazar Hamile was hit in the arm by a bullet but managed to cling on to the post with his right arm.

Two of his police escorts helped bring him down and rushed him to the Manila Doctors Hospital. A third cop-escort rushed into the building from where the shot emanated but failed to find the gunman.
