4 hurt in Malabon factory explosion

MANILA, Philippines – Four persons were injured when a steaming machine exploded inside a factory in Malabon City Tuesday afternoon.

Machine operator Joven Tayco was rushed to the Manila Central University Hospital following the explosion.

Wilman Niog, 28; Marlon Abiño, 26, and Emily Cacdao, 21, were brought to the same hospital for treatment.

Reports said Tayco was operating the machine when it blew up at around 4:45 p.m. –Rey Galupo (The Philippine Star)
