OFW Family Club

We stand strongly behind the House Bills we filed thus far namely: the OFW Travel Protection Act, The OFW Family Help Desks Act, The Creation Of An OFW Hospital, The Surrogate Parents of OFWs Act, The Educational Scholarship for Dependents of OFWs Act, The Hatid Saya for OFWs Act, The OFW Premium Benefits Act, The Free Assistance Program for the Poor and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) with Cancer or Kidney Disease Act, The Foreign Remittance Regulatory Commission Act, The Protection of Abandoned Families Act, among others. We also co authored several bills by fellow Congressmen geared towards the strengthening of Micro Finance and Entrepreneurial programs as well as the enhancement of several district hospitals and its services.

Moreover, our Representative as Vice Chair of the COWA remained steadfast in addressing and recommending the appropriate actions to the issues brought before the body such as the Sex For Flight Issues, Saudization and Tent City in KSA, among others. We are also preparing to spearhead an investigation towards the Libya repatriation complaints by our OFWs there as well as some unscrupulous acts by particular Head of Missions.

We also Supported the Position of the House Leadership and the President’s Call for the Abolition of the Pork Barrel, and Stand Behind Complementary Efforts to Promote Transparency and Accountability in Government. During the privilege speeches and interpolation of our Representative, we voiced out our discontent towards contracualization and corruption.

During the DOLEs budget hearings, we voiced out the need of DOLE to increase its budget for the protection of workers abroad.

We stand proud of our mediation services where we helped settle problems between job providers and OFWs.
