MANILA, Philippines – Eleven workers at a still being constructed “The Suites” condominium at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City were hurt after a portion of the building fell some 10 meters to the ground on Wednesday morning.

Senior Superintendent Arthur Felix Asis, Taguig police chief, said the incident happened at about 8:10 a.m.

The building is located at the corner of 28th Street and 5th Avenue.

Asis said the workers were only slight hurt and were rushed to the nearby St. Luke’s Global hospital for emergency treatment.

“Medyo basa pa yung semento nung nag collapse yung sahig,” said Asis.

As of 10:20 a.m., members of the Taguig Police, Taguig Fire and Taguig City Rescue were at the scene to look for other possible injured workers.

Asis said that the Tagiuig Police will investigate if there was negligence on the part of the building’s construction group. –Mike Frialde (philstar.com) with a report from Patricia Lourdes Viray
