BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Two workers, who were cleaning up the Baguio City Camp Lagoon, were swept away by rampaging floodwaters on Thursday, when monsoon heightened by storms Egay and Falcon dropped moderate to heavy rains in the Cordillera region.

The body of worker Lito Modawan, 38, was retrieved off a creek in Crystal Cave. Rescuers rushed Franklin Lagenio to the Baguio General Hospital for treatment.
