Roof installer falls to death

A 63-year-old roof installer fell to his death while working in Mandaluyong City Friday, police said yesterday. Reports from the Mandaluyong police station identified the victim as Dominador Mendoza of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

Initial investigation disclosed that Mendoza and seven co-workers were installing roof sheets in a warehouse in Barangay Plainview at around 3 p.m. when he accidentally slipped on the edge of the roof made of fiber plastic. He fell to the ground 30 to 35 feet below head first, killing Mendoza on the spot. Meanwhile, a 58-year-old sick man was found dead inside his house in Mandaluyong Friday. Police identified the victim as Milly Andiyan of Hagdang Bato Itaas. Police said Andiyan was found dead by his daughter who was living near his house at around 5 p.m. (Betheena Kae Unite)
