President Aquino appoints new Food Security czar, 26 other officials

On October 1, 2015, President Benigno S. Aquino III signed the appointment papers of 27 public servants to various executive offices.

Among them is Secretary Fredelita Guiza, the new Presidential Assistant on Food Security and Agricultural Modernization under the Office of the President. This comes after former Secretary Francis Pangilinan resigned last month to run for the Senate under the administration party.

Reynaldo Antonio de la Paz Laguda was also promoted to Undersecretary at the Department of Education, following the demise of Francisco Varela last August.

Lawyer Erdelyne Go, meanwhile, was named Deputy Chief Presidential Legal Counsel, also with the rank of Undersecretary.
