Man dies after touching live wire

An electrician died after he touched a live wire at a building undergoing construction in Quezon City, Monday.

Police said Marlou Partulan, 26, of Taguig City, who worked for the soon-to-rise Panorama Technohub Center in Brgy. Veterans Village, died of electrocution.

Investigation showed that prior to the incident, a fire occurred on the sixth floor of the building.

Two workers, who stopped the fire by a fire extinguisher, called Partulan for assistance on the faulty wirings.

The electrician was fixing the damaged wire at about 11:45 a.m. when he accidentally touched the stripped wire, rendering him unconscious.

He was declared dead on arrival at the Quezon City General Hospital. (Vanne Elaine P. Terrazola)
