Para lamang mabuhay at kumita, ilang mga overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) ang nagbebenta ng kanilang dugo dahil sa hindi nakatatanggap ng sahod sa loob ng limang buwan sa kanilang pinagtatrabauhan kumpanya sa Saudi Arabia.

Sa ulat na lumabas, nagbebenta sila ng dugo sa mga ospital at pagkatapos magpapahinga ay magbebenta na naman­ ng dugo sa iba pang pagamutan.

Nabatid na nanga­ngambang maaresto ang maraming Pinoy sa Saudi dahil palso na ang kanilang residence permits o kontrata sa kanilang mga pinapasukang kumpanya at ilan pa rito ay nagsasara.

Ilang sa mga kumpanya ang naglabas ng memorandum na humi­ngi ng paumanhin ang kanilang employer sa kabiguang maibigay ang kanilang sweldo.

Subalit nangako ­naman na ibibigay ang kanilang sahod sa susunod na mga buwan.

Sa pahayag ng kanilang employer na tumangging mailathala ang pangalan ng mala­king kumpanya, magiging normal ang lahat sa darating na buwan. (Itutuloy)
