Makaraan ang mahigit isang linggo, natagpuan ng lahat ang mga labi ng mga minerong nawala sa flashfloods na nangyari sa gumuhong tunnel sa Sityo Sumag Bgy. Umiray General Nakar, Quezon noong isang Sabado.

Sa pitong minero mula sa Benguet na kinuha ng CAVDEAL International Construction upang gumawa ng tunnel mula sa Sumag river sa General Nakar, Quezon patungo sa Umiray-Angat transbasin tunnel, isa lang ang nakaligtas sa nasabing trahedya na kinilalang si Salvador Pacling.

Pinakahuling narekober ang bangkay nina Zenith Picat at Danny Harnois kamakalawa sa may 30 kilometrong strech ng binahang tunnel, samantalang una ng nakuha ang mga labi nina David Guiage Jr, Simeon Sig-Od, Ferdie Sanadan, at Roland Sanchez.

Kinondena naman ng Sangguniang Bayan ng General Nakar Quezon ang CAVDEAL Internatio­nal Construction dahil sa nangyaring trahedya kungsaan isinagawa nito ang proyekto nang walang mga kaukulang permit mula sa ahensya ng pamahalaan.

Samantala, puspusan ang paghahanap ng Philippine Army sa isang chopper na susundo sana sa mga rescuer ng nasabing minero.
