Naharang ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) ang isang Filipina na biktima ng human trafficking na nagtangkang umalis ng bansa gamit ang pekeng dokumento.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, isang bagong modus-operandi ang natuklasan nito na ginagamit na rin ng mga human traffickers ang BI departure stamps na tanging ang ahensiya lamang ang may karapatan na magkaroon nito.
Sinasabing pasakay na sana ang hindi pinangalanang Pinay sa Cathay Pacific flight patungong Dubai, United Arab Emirates sa NAIA Terminal 3 nang masita ng isang immigration officer kung saan isinailalim ito sa secondary inspection ng travel control and enforcement unit (TCEU).
Paliwanag ni Morente, nang imbestigahan ang Pinay ay inamin nitong nagkuwa itong turista patungo sa Dubai at magtatrabaho sana ito bilang domestic helper sa nasabing bansa.
“Afterwards, she brought out of her handbag a departure stamp and a stamp pad which she would use to stamp her passport and boarding pass upon reaching the boarding gate and before boarding her flight,” aniya.
Sa record ng BI, una nang na-offload sa Clark International Airport (CIA) ang nasabing Pinay nang magtangka muli itong umalis ng bansa bilang turista subalit natuklasan na magtatrabaho ito sa ibang bansa.
Sa imbestigasyon, sinabi ng nasabing Pinay na inutusan ito ng kanyang employer na muling umalis ng bansa gamit ang pekeng departure stamp ngunit hindi ito nakalusot.
Nang inspeksyunin ang gamit nito ay dito na nakita ang departure stamp na inamin ng biktima na gagamitin nito sa kanyang pasaporte sa sandaling makasakay ng eroplano.
Bunsod nito ay inatasan ni Morente si Port Operations Division chief Marc Red Mariñas, na magpakalat ng mas maraming BI intelligence agents sa departure area sa NAIA upang matiyak na walang pasahero ang makakalabas ng bansa nang hindi sumasailaim sa masusing inspeksyon.
Nagsasagawa na ng imbestigasyon ang BI upang makasuhan ang recruiter nang nasabing Pinay na ngayo’y nasa kustodiya ng Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT).
