Kagawad nadulas, napakapit sa buhay na kawad

JAEN, Nueva Ecija — Nasawi ang isang barangay kagawad nang mabagok ang ulo sa sementadong lansangan makaraang madupilas sa mataas na hagdan at napahawak sa live wire habang tumutulong sa pagsasaa­yos ng street lights sa Brgy. Sto. Tomas South dito noong Biyernes ng hapon.

Sa ulat na nakarating sa tanggapan ni Mayor Sylvia Austria, nakilala ang nasawi na si Jose Pallarca Galang, 51, na hindi na umabot ng buhay sa Gonzales Gene­ral Hospital sa Brgy. Diversion, San Leonardo.

Nabatid na dakong alas-tres ng hapon, kasama ni Kagawad Galang ang barangay electrician na si Efren Pallarca Sampang, na nag-aayos ng kanilang street lights sa kahabaan ng Jaen-Sta. Rosa Road sakop ng Purok 6. Aksidente umanong nadupilas sa taas ng hagdan si Kagawad Galang at saktong nakahawak sa live electric wiring ng ­inaayos na poste ng ilaw kaya nahulog at bumagok ang ulo sa kinabagsakang lansangan.

Tumanggi na ang asawang si Myrna San­tiago Galang na isaila­lim pa sa awtopsiya ang labi ng biktima.
