Gov’s aide shot dead by wife’s ‘lover’

TUGUEGARAO, Philippines – The chief of staff of the governor of Apayao was shot dead, allegedly by the lover of his wife, at their home in Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya yesterday morning.Lawyer Jemar Apada, chief of staff of Gov. Elias Bulut Jr., arrived at their home in Barangay Poblacion to find his wife Police Officer 2 Jenny Apada allegedly sleeping with her colleague, PO1 Clifford Dulnuan.

Chief Inspector Alexander Cabang, town police chief, told The STAR that Apada’s wife did not know her husband was coming home.

Jenny is assigned at the women and children’s protection desk while Dulnuan is an intelligence officer, Cabag said.

Reports said Dulnuan fled after shooting Apada, who was taken by his wife to a hospital but did not make it alive.
