Patay sa kinumpuning van

Patay ang pahinante ng Isuzu aluminum wing van (DXY 567), makaraang magulungan ng mismong sasakyan na katatapos lamang nitong kumpunihin sa Brgy. San Miguel Sto. Tomas, Batangas, dakong alas-nuwebe ng gabi kamakalawa.

Batay sa nakarating na ulat sa Sto. Tomas Muni­cipal Police Station, nagpalit ng flat tire sa una­hang bahagi ng sasakyan­ ang biktimang si Jay-ar de Gamo, 32-an­yos, habang nakaparada sila sa kahabaan ng Daang Maharlika Highway.

Tapos na sana ang biktima sa pagpapalit ng gulong nang mangyari ang insidente, ayon sa salaysay ng saksi sa pangyayari na si Avelino Dacao Jr., nakita niyang inaalis ng biktima ang isinalpak na hydraulic jack nang big­lang umandar ang van.

Nakita rin umano ng saksi na naglabas ng usok ang tambutso ng sasakyan bago nito nagulungan ang biktima, dead-on-arrival din ito nang isugod sa Sto. Tomas General Hospital, habang pansamantalang nasa kustodiya ng pulisya ang drayber ng van at kasamahan ng biktima na si Edwin Hernandez, 53-anyos.
