Worker dies after falling into septic tank

MANILA, Philippines – A worker died after he fell into a septic tank while helping his co-worker who suffered from suffocation in Pasig City on Tuesday.

Police identified the fatality as Richard Cabarles.

Reports said that Cabarles and Marvin Emadin were cleaning the septic tank along Lakeview Drive in Barangay Bagong Ilog when the latter complained of shortness of breath.

Cabarles helped Emadin get out of the tank but he fell and drowned.
