MANILA, Philippines – A 25-year-old construction worker died when he was electrocuted at a construction site along Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City Friday night.

The worker was using the welding machine and attached a welding rod without using safety gloves, investigators said.

His workmates took the victim to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival before 11 p.m.

Investigators, who did not see any foul play in the incident, refused to disclose the identity of the victim as they still have to inform his family in Samar about his death.
