4 bodies found in rainwater tank

BATANGAS, Philippines — Four construction workers were found dead in a rainwater tank in Sitio Barandal, Barangay San Francisco, Lipa, Batangas yesterday morning.

The victims were identified as Jimuel Dimaculangan, Enrique Erolon, a certain Jasper and Jose.

Superintendent Meliton Salvadora, Lipa police chief, said the bodies of the victims were discovered when a brother of one the workers checked the tank at a construction site in Purok 4, Sitio Barandal, Barangay San Francisco at around 7:15 a.m.

The rainwater tank has two manholes, which is 30 feet wide and three meters deep.

An investigation is ongoing.
