3 electrocuted in Isabela fish pond

TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan , Philippines — Three persons died of electrocution in Ramon, Isabela on Thursday.

Danilo Basilio, 44, accidentally touched a live wire while harvesting hito or freshwater catfish in a pond in Barangay Planas.

Romelito Besa, 35, tried to help Basilio, but he was also electrocuted.

Randy Besa, 44, touched Romelito when he saw him and Basilio shaking, thinking they were only joking, according to a witness.

Police are considering filing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide against the owner of the fish pond.
